At first Barina wasn't quite sure what had happened. When her quivering nose touched the large black one the energy in the clearing suddenly seemed to explode. The stallion snorted and reared up, his eyes showing their whites. Startled, Barina lept back too, snorting nervously. She had obviously startled him and she was just about to apologize when the stallion's ears shot back and he lunged at her. She sat back on her haunches in shock and was just about to scramble out of the way when luckily he stopped his forward attack, although he did not lose the aggression etched in every line of his being. What do you want he snarled, lips bared at her and his head lowered in aggression. She was just about to open her mouth to reply when the other stallion, a grey stepped in between the two of them. In thanks she nickered to him and he spoke to the black "Easy my friend, this pretty little filly means you no harm," he said and then turned to look at her, eyeing her up almost. Barina stiffened slightly. She was tempted to play hard to get, but then she decided she would flirt a little. The spring weather had made her careless ane being a young filly on her own, she was rather flattered that he had saved her, and now complimented her too. The grey turned to look at the mares behind Barina "The reasons I'm not really interested in such boring mares like you lot are numerous. Many of which I ain't gonna share with you," Barina flicked back her ears briefly as he adressed the other mares harshly but quickly lightened up, after all, she did not know the history between the stallion and the mares, and he had defended her. Arching her neck, she tossed her mane, flirting a little. Was this how all young stallions behaved? she wondered. The black mare pinned her ears and spat at the black stallion "Your the silver horse killer aren't you?Garrong." Barina's ears stood upright in shock. What had she gotton herself into? A silver horse killer? Shaking very slightly she looked round at the mare, was she telling the truth? Garrong she would have to make sure to remember that name, just in case. And if it were so...well she'd need to find a herd soon for protection. Maybe this grey stallion would have her she thought. Yes, if the grey asked, she would most definately follow him. He looked strong and he had already protected her once. But he'd call the other horse friend.... "And you!" the black mare continued to the grey. "I'm still not sure exactly sure who you are! You horrible, cocky..." Barina braced herself, looking from one face to another as accusations flew. Who to believe? What had she done? Slightly worried, she whinnied softly, thinking of the lessons she had been taught. She ought to have been more careful. Still, the only thing she could think to do now was to try and get the grey stallion to want her. Nickering softly she reached out and nuzzled him on the crest of his neck, hoping he would respond well to her gentle thanks for stepping inbetween her and the horrible black giant.

One instant the clearing was stifled by stillness, the next it was a swirl of confusion. Yaruka saw a silver shape enter the clearing out of the corner of her eye- it couldn't be but it was. A silver filly. What else was going to happen today? Suddenly Garrong's nonthreatening manner was gone and he lunged for the new filly who lept back in a flash of silver, fear showing clearly in her eyes. Yaruka snorted and half reared, worried for the filly and her friends too. Garrong had stopped trying to attack the filly but his anger was still apparent. Terrified, Yaruka wondered what had gotton into the stallion. What had caused him to so suddenly become a threat? He couldn't really be the infamous, mythical silver horse killer could he? As he curled back his lips in a snarl she could only conclude that it must be so. Why else would he have such a problem with a filly who had been nothing but sweet to him? The grey stallion stepped between the two horses and for once, Yaruka felt grateful to him. Easy my friend, this pretty little filly means you no harm," said the grey to Garrong, if that was indeed his name. The grey turned and eyed the new filly, and though he did not appear threatening Yaruka did not like the look her gave the filly. He obviously thought she was pretty but Yaruka found herself disturbed by his interest. She still didn't think he was good news. Whinnying to the silver filly, she stomped her hooves and tossed her head urgently towards Koiji. What should they do? Koiji angrily yelled at the stallions, and Yaruka felt herself continue to shake with surpressed fear and tension.

Ooc: Maybe Barina could go with him? I don't think they wouldn't get along, it would be ok.
Althea's eyes were wide open in fear for this new filly, "Yes, she must run, RUN!" she yelled, over to Barina. Looking back at the stallions, she spat at Maluka, as if trying to poison him like a snake. "If you don't care for us, then why don't you leave us to peace?!" she hissed. "And you, Garrong, i've heard tales about you, you selfless, stupid bully. What gives you the right to kill silvers? So what if they're more attracive than you'll ever be, personality wise AND in looks!" she teased. ___________________________________________
The young stallion with a coat of fire, or so it looked in the bright sun, dashed up Mt Kosciusko. He had heard the screams of fillys and stallions, angry ones. Curiousity killed the cat, Nadalie thought to himself, stopping for a second and looking back, imagining he had a herd of his own. But that won't be today, he decided, as if the boss of life. He silently climbed up the rest of the way and watched the 4 fillies and 2 stallions. The black one looked like he was going to murder the silver filly, no, it couldn't be....what a discrace!
He called out and stepped up onto the flat, pawing at the ground. "What are you doing, fools?" he said, mainly aimed at the grey teasing the other fillies and one mare. Most of their convosation had been loud screaming, so he knew some of the story already. Unlike them, he wanted a herd, and these fillys and possibly the older mare would do fine...if they weren't taken already. He eyed them, one at a time.

Yaruka heard Althea's call to Barina and whinnied her own warning to the silver filly. She musn't go with the grey stallion, Yaruka could tell that he was bad news. Just then, another stallion burst into the clearing, pawing at the ground. This was too much for Yaruka. She rolled her eyes and snorted, panicking again. At least before they had had the advantage of numbers but three stallions? There was no way. Whinnying urgently to Koiji,Althea and hoping the new filly heard as well, she began to back towards the trees. Maybe if the mares could get away while this new stallion was here as a distraction. "Come on!" she called to Althea and Koiji, who still hadn't moved. Her posture was clear, 'I don't like this!' her tense body screamed and she was still fighting the urge to flee. If they went it would have to be subtly and they were losing precious seconds looking at the fiery new stallion. She saw the roan pass a glance over her and the other mares. She froze, he seemed nice enough but she had had enough of stallions for a while.

Barina was torn. The other mares clearly thought the grey was bad news, but he had protected her and she wanted so badly to have the comfort (and excitement) of a herd now this new terrority had already proven to be dangerous. When another stallion burst in she sighed and almost stamped her hoof in frusteration. Honestly? What was it with this place? she thought to herself. Where she'd come from she had lived a very sheltered life and had left to find excitement but this was getting ridiculous. The level of drama her new life had given her was beginning to get concerning. But she wasn't one to stay feeling down too long. Tossing her head, she decided to make the most of the situation. She eyed the new stallion, a fiery coloured roan, and looked to the grey and black to see what they would do. She heard the young chesnut filly call for the others to leave and thought for a second that the filly may be right, it would definately be safer for them to go now. But still, that would be boring. Barina wanted to see how this turned out. She did hope, however, that no one was going to be hurt. She had never seen stallion's confront each other before but did know it could sometimes get violent.

Maluka breathed a sigh of relief, sort of. All but one of the mares were leaving, doing what was best for the youngest one no doubt. 'Very admirable,' he thought to himself. He nodded and smiled at the then turned to the silver filly. His expression instantly changed from cocky and nasty, to a soft and gentle one. He nickered to the silver filly and outstretched his nose to her. This side of Maluka was rare, most of the time he was cruel and mean, not now, not with her. He liked her. "I promise my friend Garrong here doesn't mean you any harm but you can leave with the others if you wish," he looked to Garrong with a questioning look, a look that said, 'You won't hurt her... will you?' "If you do stay, is it OK if I have a few words with this handsome fella in private for a bit?" Maluka laughed and nudged Garrong in the way that humans jokingly punch each other in the arm.

Maluka’s interference was very well timed, Garrong had been immediately about to make a strike at her to frighten her away. If she was injured, then so be it. Just as he was about to rear suddenly a streak of grey darted in between them and he was forced to cease and desist for a moment, though his fury was undoubtedly clear. What they grey said completely went past his head. Koiji’s words, on the other hand, caught. Well, someone that knew his actual name. It wasn’t actually much of a relief, it was so much easier when he was known almost exclusively as Jirrand, it allowed to him to separate the two sides of himself in his mind; Garrong, the good, and Jirrand, the angry. Calling both sides by one name blurred the lines far too much for his liking, but now wasn’t the time to argue the point. The grey and, oh drat, a red too, could fight for her if they wanted, but the black wasn’t going to suffer her presence. He quickly made as though about to dart behind Maluka in order to confuse him, and went around the front instead, and out of striking distance. And in a flash, ‘Jirrand’ reared up, teeth bared, and made a go at a particularly painful grab at the base of her mane. He didn’t intend to hold the grip such as in an actual fight, and even if he missed it didn’t matter, the idea was to just get her out. ||OoC|| Visual Help. Click. ||

Now it was fear that struck Althea again. Yaruka's call to go she obeyed, as she wasn't keen on seeing this black brute attack that filly. She backed away into the trees silently, forgetting the filly, "Come on Koji" she nickered to her little friend, starting to trot down the mountain side. Hopefully they wouldn't be chased, or herded away by the new red roan. The filly was nearly helpless now, well, to a bunch of other fillies anyway. ______________________________
Nadalie didn't mind if this filly didn't fallow him. He was fond on a herd, but wasn't fond on fighting just yet. He didn't have his full strength, unlike the big black. Nadalie was sure the black killer was very tough, and the grey too. Older than him, he wouldn't stand a chance. He backed away a few steps and pulled his ears back in alarm as the black began to full on attack the silver filly. What had she done? Then the grey was trying to take her, maybe these two were enemies? They didn't seem like allies at all.
The grey was definately being more reasonable than the black, so he took his chances and tried to avoid the black while fallowing the fillies and mare who were escaping. Nadalie took it that they neither new this silver filly. Maybe they were wandering alone...his chance for a herd. Letting out a call to them, he began to gallop their way, hoping they wouldn't run from someone as kind as he.

Yaruka was relieved that they were finally leaving, but worried for a second about the silver filly who still hadn't followed. Well, she thought That grey protected her once, I'm sure he'll do it again. She turned to go down the mountainside and missed seeing Garrong's violent grab at the silver filly. Breaking into a trot, she heard Althea and Koiji follow her. Then she caught the scent of the roan stallion and heard his call, undoubtedly to them. He was following them. What should they do? Many thoughts flashed through her mind, but she could only focus on one of them. She was not going to be corned by a stallion again. Calling anxiously to Koiji and Althea she broke into a gallop and took off down the mountain side.

Barina was relieved when the grey's response to her contact was gentle and kind. He nickered to her and extended his nose, which she touched shyly with her own, her nostrils quivering slightly with excitement. "I promise my friend Garrong here doesn't mean you any harm but you can leave with the others if you wish," he said to her. Barina was surprised at the promise and the choice he gave her and decided that he couldn't really be all that bad if he was allowing to free rein to leave. But she did take note that he had again called Garrong his 'friend', and she frowned slightly in confusion. What was the relationship between the two of them? "If you do stay, is it OK if I have a few words with this handsome fella in private for a bit?" Barina nodded and was just about to say that she was going to go get a drink from a nearby stream so that he could talk privately with Garrong, when the black made as though to dart behind the grey then immediately swung round in front and lunged at her neck. Barina squealed and reared up, hooves flailing as Garrong's teeth grazed the top of her withers. She came down on all four hooves again and propped violently to the right, behind the grey stallion. It was obvious to her that Garrong had been intending to grab a hold at the base of her neck, where stallion's usually caught each other in fights, a move that may be hard to pull against a stallion of his age but surely not a filly like her? And had he intended to shake her as well? He could have seriously hurt her! She lashed out with her hindfeet at the black's quarters, not really intending to hit him but hoping to show him that she would stand up for herself. Trembling slightly, sweat ran down her neck, her old herd had been right in saying that the world was dangerous for a silver filly.
