Garrong was actually quite surprised that Maluka even bothered to respond to that. He was really quite convinced the grey was just going to give an amused snort, hound him off then stick with his pretty little new prize. He’s suspected the grey wanted something from him before, and turning someone like that away at a fanatical request just convinced him he was right. ”What do you want?” Ah, the million dollar question. Hopefully it didn’t sound too rude.

"Help with something... ahh! It's hard to explain," Maluka snorted, "let's just say I was wronged by a stallion when I was young and now I want revenge. I want to kill him but I can't do it by myself." A lie and Maluka knew it but the truth hardly sounded great either. 'I thought I'd killed my cocky half-brother, but turns out I didn't and know I want to finish the job,' definatly didn't sound as attractive as the lie.

Well... that was to the point. Garrong hesitated for a moment, staring at the other horse with a vague surprise while it mulled around in his head. Ordinary coloured horses had never done anything to him and Maluka’s struggle didn’t concern him, he didn’t need more enemies than what he had. However, normal horses killed normal horses all the time, and the pendulum could swing both ways, he couldn’t defeat a full grown silver stallion by himself, but the two of them could.
”Fine,” he agreed quickly, ”But if I need help any time in the future I expect you to return the favour.”

"It's a deal, after all what are friends for?" Maluka laughed with a thoughtful look on his face. "The stallion I want dead is called Tingara and he's a black like you. I've also heard that there is only one silver stallion up here who goes by the name Nevada. If ever you need help with him, I will be there. I don't much like the silver stallions either," he explained. Maluka didn't like the silvers because all the fillies when he was younger had gone mad for them, and he was left fillyless.

Garrong nodded. Sounded easy enough. Of course, if he had of known the small matter of Tingara being KING, perhaps at this stage he would have decided differently. "Fair enough," he agreed, flicking his atil against a stray bug. "Whats the plan then?"

"I guess that makes us allies. I look forward to teaming up with you," he said smoothly, letting the cool breeze toss around his black mane. "I think for now we should part ways. I will send word for you if I need you and I expect you'l do the same if you need me," Maluka nodded respectfully to his great black friend and backed his way slowly out of the clearing, meliting into the coming darkness like a smoke horse.

Yep, that sounded fair enough. Garrong nodded in assent and watched the grey disappear in the same strange fashion in whence he had came. Well, that was certainly an interesting experience. At least now, knwoing he had a parter lurking around somewhere was more comforting than being in a new area completely alone.
Nevada huh? This was something he was going to have to invesitage later.
